Kindergarten Orientation

We were so excited to go to Kindergarten Orientation at Scott Elementary this past Thursday.  Will got to meet his teacher, Mrs. Reardon, and meet some of his classmates, who include his friends Beatrix and MJ!  The Kindergarteners played games with helpers while the parents filled out forms in the classroom.

The same day was our last day at Goddard, and I got a little teary saying goodbye to Ms. Jennifer, who has been with Will in several classrooms.  We have loved our time at Goddard, and we know Will is SO ready for Kindergarten!!

Kindergarten Registration

We were so excited to register Will for Kindergarten at Scott earlier this month.  He had been working hard at Goddard to prepare for the Brigance Assessment, especially in his Pre-K classroom, the Awesome Otters.  He did a great job on the Assessment (a.k.a. "playing games") with Mrs. Benton, a Kindergarten teacher at Scott.

Beatrix came to register about the same time as we did, so the kiddos did some exploration of their new school afterward.  The loved peeking inside a Kindergarten classroom.  While Beatrix counted the number of tables in the cafeteria, Will counted the number of fire alarms.  Yes, fire alarms.

This was the best we could do for a "give me a big smile beside the welcome sign" picture.  :-)
