New Year's Festivities

We enjoyed finishing out the holiday season with the Stricklers visiting.  Will loved all the time he got to spend with Mamaw and Papaw!

On New Year's Eve, we enjoyed yummy homemade Potato Soup

and a couple of rousing games, including Balderdash and Jeopardy.  We laughed so hard - check out a picture below to see just one example from Balderdash of why!  :-)

New Year's Day brought a delicious breakfast - courtesy of "Uncle Phil" - chocolate croissants.  We laid the frozen pastries out the night before, and they had gotten huge by the next morning!

Baked to perfection and ready to eat!

The croissants were a hit with everyone.

Will visited everyone's plate and shared, as well!

Will showed Papaw all about Sesame Street - his favorite show!

Christmas with Friends and Family

We had a fabulous Christmas season and celebrated (several times!!) with family and friends.

Before Christmas, we met with Matt for a wonderful dinner (sans Will - thank you, Gram and Pawpaw for babysitting!!) and present-opening.  We went to Alexander's in Old Towne Petersburg and had a yummy dinner.  We even ran into Pat and Wert Smith!  :-)

As you can see from the photos, we had a lot of fun opening presents with Matt:

After Christmas, Mamaw and Papaw and "Uncle" Phil joined us.  They both traveled on December 27.  Phil stayed a couple of days, and Mamaw and Papaw left on New Year's Day.  Much, much fun was had by all as Gram and Pawpaw also came over for some entire family kind of food and fun!  We enjoyed another round of opening presents, which was a big hit with Will.  He enjoyed the opening process and all of his gifts.  This year he got several Sesame Street-themed toys, which he loves!!

Before opening "Talking Elmo" from Uncle Danny and Aunt Tracy:

After opening "Talking Elmo" from Uncle Danny and Aunt Tracy:
He LOVED it!

We played games, like Jeopardy! for the Wii and Mexican Train Dominoes, a family favorite that we hadn't ALL played since the summer Will was born.

Whether it was playing, jamming to music, reading, taking pictures, hugging, or getting in the "Downward Dog" yoga position, Will spent some quality time with everyone at Christmas:

Videos from Today

We wanted to share a couple of videos from today:

Will enjoys playing with his guitar this morning from Gram and Pawpaw

We really DID have a white Christmas today, so we couldn't resist a little snow playtime!
