Zoo Fun with the Ford Family

We had a great time at the Metro Richmond Zoo on Saturday with the Ford Family.  Will enjoyed seeing all the animals with his friend, Beatrix.  We all rode the Safari Train ride, where Will made his discovery of the day.  We were all watching the free-roaming African animals as the driver described them when Will announces that he sees PINE CONES on the ground!!  :-)

This giraffe tried to kiss me.  I didn't have any food, so he wasn't interested after all...

The giraffes sure were interested in the food from Erin, Beatrix, Mark, and Will, though!  We discovered the giraffe has a long, dark, rough tongue - the kids both let the parents feed the animals while they watched!
