Two-Year Stats

We took Will for his 2-year checkup on September 26th, and we were proud that he did an awesome job!

Height = 34.5 inches (50th percentile)
Weight = 29 pounds

He was a very good boy while Dr. Shayne and Ms. Karen checked out his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and tummy.  He didn't even have to have any shots - he qualified for receiving FluMist instead of the flu shot.

Eighteen Month Stats

Will had his 18 month check-up this afternoon.  We got off easy with just two immunizations, but that was good because we had a pretty traumatic time with Dr. Shayne checking out his ears. 

(We had taken him to the doctor at the end of January with fairly serious cold symptoms, and the nurse practitioner discovered he had an ear infection.  Will had already finished his 10-day round of antibiotics for the ear infection, but the deep cough, then other cold symptoms came back not long afterward.  So... this brings us up to the present time - needless to say, we were glad to have Dr. Shayne examine him and determine what might make him feel better.) 

When examining his ears, Dr. Shayne could not even tell the condition of Will's ears because he had so much wax buildup.  The removal of the wax buildup in both ears was... interesting.  (Interesting = code word for traumatizing and exhausting)  Finally, they were clear enough for the doctor to see inside, and the other ear is now infected.  We hope that now with a 10-day round of Augmentin, this infection and cold will (finally!!) be cleared up!

Height = 33.5 inches (79th percentile)
Weight = 24 pounds (25th percentile)

Fifteen Month Stats

Will had his 15month check-up yesterday.  Including the flu shot, he had four immunizations.  He ended up with an early-ish bedtime because of all the excitement (only going on an hour's nap during the day).


Here's his stats:
Height = 31.5 inches (50th percentile)
Weight = 24 pounds, 2 ounces (60th percentile)

Twelve Month Stats

Will had his 12 month check-up today.  He had three immunizations and one finger prick for a hemoglobin check.  With an appointment right around naptime, waiting in the exam room, and needles, he worked himself up for a good nap on the way home!

Height = 29 inches (50th percentile)
Weight = 22 pounds (50th percentile)
Head circumference = 48 cm (75th percentile)

Nine-Month Stats

Will turned nine months old last week (May 6th), and he had his well-baby check-up today.  Dr. Shayne said he looked great, and he was a champ for the three immunizations he received today!

Weight = 20 pounds (50th percentile)
Head circumference = 47 cm (90th percentile)
