Today is a sad day for the Strickler Family. We had to say goodbye to our beloved Maggie Dog. We are so sad, but we are also so grateful for the MANY very happy years we had with her.
We hadn't talked about her recent struggles on the blog, but she has been having trouble for over six months. After many urinary infections, we found out she had an inoperable bladder tumor, and over the course of the past couple of weeks, her quality of life decreased rapidly. We know we made the right decision, but that definitely does not mean it was easy. We will miss her terribly; I think we'll hear the toenails on the floor and the barks at people who DARE walk down our street for years to come.
Here are a few good Maggie memories:
Who wouldn't love that snout??

Will (fortunately for Maggie) had moved past trying to stab her eyes :-) and loved saying "HI" to Maggie and giving her enthusiastic, loving pats.
We are so glad that they loved each other so much!!

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a great pet. Our thoughts are with you.
