Central Virginia, along with much of the rest of the country, is facing days of bitter cold ahead. Tonight's low is supposed to be 9 degrees (with a wind chill of between 0 degrees and -10 degrees) and tomorrow's high is also predicted to break a record - weather forecasters are saying it will be 21 degrees for the high. This is the coldest weather in central Virginia in two decades!
Most school divisions in the area made the call around 4pm today to start school tomorrow on a two-hour delay because of these extreme cold temperature. This got me to thinking about the JOY of children and teachers when we hear of a delay or closing due to weather...
